Celebrating Our Common Heritage

In his “Declaration and Address” Thomas Campbell says “You desire union in Christ with all them that love him; so do we.”

The union we share in Christ is on glorious public display each time we gather for corporate worship. This is no secret meeting. It is a joyous celebration for all the world to see.

Celebrating Our Common Heritage

When you take two wonderful words and join them, the pleasure of saying them is doubled. To celebrate is to lift up joyously an event, or person, offering thanks for what has been accomplished. While celebrating can happen within the privacy of an individual heart, we most often gather for the celebration. And that is where we encounter the second wonderful word, together.
